Phillips Screw releases White Paper

Recent issues with EN standards failing qualification for tensile strength prompted The Phillips Screw Company® to review our design standards to assure that all of our fasteners would perform to the requirements. As a result of this result of this review and our subsequent work with end users and our licensees we found that many design and standards engineers did not have a full understanding of the factors that influence fastener head strength. We have developed a “White Paper” that provides a clear understanding of the factors that influence the Head Strength Ratio (HSR) and why they are a critical consideration in selecting the best fastener for a specific application.
